Swine Flu Coordinator Named

American Hospital Management Corporation, Longmont, Colorado, has named Dr. Gregory Ciottone as the coordinator for Swine Flu Infection for all hospitals within the AHMC network effective immediately. Dr. Ciottone will coordinate AHMC’s hospitals’ response to the Swine Flu (H1N1) virus. Dr. Ciottone is the Chief Medical Officer for AHMC and Director, Center for Disaster Resilience-Boston. He is also the Chair, Disaster Medicine Section and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School.
“The response to any large scale medical emergency is a major concern and primary responsibility of AHMC hospitals in the communities we serve”, stated Randall Arlett, CEO/President. “We assure our communities that our hospitals are ready and equipped to respond to disasters and major health issues such as the Swine Flu epidemic”, added Arlett.
Dr. Ciottone will be the Interim Medical Director for Emergency Management for each of AHMC’s hospitals and all questions or issues will be coordinated through him. He will be available 24 hours 7 days per week to deal with these issues.
